August 2026

Version 2.0 introduces a completely new color management system, significant speed improvements during check-in, expanded color correction capabilities, as well as numerous new features in the Impose Editor, Automation, and the new user interface. The complete Release Notes are available in the User Manual.

New Features:

New Color Management Powered by GMG OpenColor Engine
A completely new color management system based on the GMG OpenColor Engine is now available. It covers the entire process – from Linearization through Characterization to a finished Color Policy – including a dedicated Gamut Viewer for visualizing the color space.

Faster Check-in
The check-in process has been accelerated: wherever possible, a QuickCheck is now performed instead of a full PDF check. This results in significantly shorter processing times, especially for multipage print data.

Expanded Color Correction in Production Jobs
In addition to existing options, new sliders for Midtones and Contrast/Brightness are now available. For each color channel, a Gradation Curve can also be freely edited – enabling even more precise results.

Improved Color Control Stripes and New Marks
Color Control Stripes for Process Colors can now be freely configured, including background color, patch size, spacing, and the ability to import or export custom color patch lists. New marks are also available: Bearer Bars for conventional sheet printing and a GMI Mark for GMI Verification.

Dynamic Color Values for Captions
Background colors of text captions can now be automatically derived from a user-defined field – ideal when color information originates from an external system such as an ERP.

More Flexibility in Automation
Production Configurations can now be created as Variations – allowing different parameter sets to be defined for the same workflow and selected flexibly. A faulty Print Item within an Automation Job can also be replaced directly, without restarting the entire job. Automation Jobs can now also be created directly from the Article detail view.

Increased Reliability with New Checks
Additional checks during check-in now detect issues such as overlapping technical colors, incorrectly created dielines, or differing page sizes within multipage files – along with clear guidance for correction.

Refined User Interface
Consistent keyboard shortcuts, an improved Dark Mode, faster access to Tags directly within list views, and a clearer display of color values and substrates make daily work more convenient.
