Version 1.22.0 introduces new features in the Impose Editor, the new User Interface, process automation, the Approval Portal, and Data Preparation. The complete Release Notes are available in the User Manual.

New Features:

Update information
To install version 1.22.0, you must first install versions 1.14.0, 1.17.0, 1.19.0, and 1.21.0.

Processing multipage Print Data
Multipage Print Items are now fully supported throughout the application—from the print item detail view all the way through to Imposition. Multipage files can also be processed in Automation Jobs and Hotfolders.

New Impose Mode – Bound Product
This version introduces the ability to create, edit, and use bound products with saddle stitching in the Impose Editor. For this purpose, templates, stitching and shingling parameters, crop mark options, and a page preview of the imposed brochure are available.

Impose Sheet Template – Flicker Nesting
With Version 1.22.0, an Imposition can be randomly shifted along the X and Y axes up to a defined maximum Offset. This distributes cutting positions more evenly, reduces localized wear, and helps extend the cutting mat’s lifespan.

Operations to be checked and fixed
Checks for print data are now available in automation processes. To this end, new operations have been implemented for checking Print Items and performing Fixups, Fixup Chains, or forwarding to other Production Configurations, as well as new Checks for identifying relevant conditions in Print Items.

Operations to Export
New Operations for exporting print data have been added in this version. These can be used to automatically generate Reports on Print Items, Imposition, Ink Costs, and Spot Color Reports, and save them to a specific directory on a file server.

Optimized Substrate Utilization
New options have been introduced for the Operations „Create Impose“ and „Create Impose with Auto-Nesting“. These options allow you to create Impositions specifically for automation and fill them with additional Print Items. This feature also enables the inclusion of Print Items that may not be produced until a later date, such as the next day, thereby significantly improving material utilization.

Enfocus Switch Connector
Starting with version 1.21.2, the Enfocus Switch Connector can be used to create Production Jobs in the application. An initial SDK (a proprietary API separate from the public API) has been made available for this purpose, allowing integrators to pass Print Items, along with associated metadata and production configurations, to the application.

Transition – New User Interface
Version 1.21.2 fully updates the User Interface to the new version. After updating, the new Interface will load automatically. However, you can temporarily switch back to the previous version.

Improvements:

Grid Charts
The following improvements have been implemented for Grid Charts in this version:
• A new menu item, „Grid Charts,“ has been added to the „Color“ menu.
• This version allows users to configure filter settings for the routine deletion of Grid Charts using the Entity Cleanup routine.
• Starting with version 1.22.0, users can save their configured Grid Chart settings as a template. This allows frequently used configurations to be reused quickly.

Approval Portal – Handling Spot Colors
Version 1.22.0 introduces new options for excluding Spot Colors from upload to the Approval Portal and for controlling the transmission and display of Hybrid Colors.

Color Bar for Spot Colors
A new „Color Bar – Spot Colors“ option has been added to the Impose Editor. It allows you to generate color patches dynamically for the Spot Colors used in the print items within the Impose Editor.
