In version 1.18.0, users can take advantage of several new features, particularly in the areas of imposition, color management, and approval workflows. Additionally, enhancements have been made to data validation and print data management, alongside expanded language support with new translations.

Impose Editor Nesting
The following new features are available in Nesting mode:
- Guillotine cut - Nesting optimization can now be performed with the guillotine cut active.

- Optimization for multi-page output - The algorithm runs over all pages to achieve the best possible optimization to save material.

It is possible to generate a nesting report. This report covers the entire imposition and has one overview page as well as a detail page per Impose Sheet.

Impose Editor Step & Repeat
The following new features are available in Step & Repeat mode:
- OMET Marks for Digital Printing - Vision Marks are added based on the color configuration of a substrate profile. White can also be underprinted using a separate setting.

- "Durst ARC" Marks - These marks can be placed on  the Impose sheet and saved as a template. as a template.

- Line - Alternate Print Elements - Multiple Print can be placed alternately and repeatedly across across lines.

Impose Editor Tiling
The following new features and enhancements are available in Tling mode:
- Numbering – The starting point for tile numbering can now be user-defined.

- Expose view – This new view allows you to display individual tiles within the overall tiling view.

Caption in the Impose Editor
- Overlaps - Captions are cropped to the width of the print element, either to the image box or to the image box + bleed.

- Multiline Captions - Multiline captions can now be created for print items.

- Caption Dielines - Caption dielines can be created and merged with the print item's dieline, creating a tab where the caption is not cropped.

Calculation of DeviceN Spot Colors
This feature allows you to ignore output Spot Color values below a defined threshold.

Chromatic Grid Chart
With this Grid Chart type, the brightness and saturation of the base color can be adjusted using a slider.

Color cast Grid Chart
This Grid Chart allows you to create graded color areas using the blue-yellow and green-red axes.

Cartes Laser Cutter extensions
The existing implementation has been enhanced with additional parameters, allowing frequently used settings to be defined.

Check-In extension
The “Determine Path Length” and “Number of Path Points” checks can be used to assess the length and complexity of a Spot Color or Technical Color. These results can be used to calculate processing time, among other things.

Spot Color Report
A Spot Color Report can now be generated for all spot colors in a print item. A maximum ΔE value can be set to identify colors outside the gamut.

Approval project
The creation of Approval Reports has been improved. Multiple articles or print items from an order can now be combined into an Approval Project, which can be created, managed, and sent to the revised Approval Portal. The dashboard has also been completely redesigned.

New Data Preparations
- Set Page Boxes to TrimBox – Page Boxes can be set relative or absolute to the Trim- Box. Bleed and CropBox frames can also be removed.

- Add Wind Slits – A grid of wind slits can be created at a defined size, with a specified number of columns and rows.

- Scale Page Content (Absolute) – The content within the TrimBox frame can now be scaled to a specific height and width. Bleed is adjusted accordingly.



Improvements:

Create and Manage PDF Printers
The creation of PDF printers has been revised. Now, all or selected substrates and color policies can be assigned to a PDF printer.

Grid Chart Layouts
The layout of all Grid Chart types has been standardized. Changes include the preview of the X and Y axes, numbering of the color fields, and the specification of DeviceN color values.



Die Cut Management
The following options have been added specifically for label production:
- Add print items to the One-Up by customizing them.
- Manually position print items on the print item.

 


Imposition with Repeat Size
In Die Cut mode, the repeat size can now be used as the mounting sheet size.

Data Preparations
You can refer to the following revised Data Preparations:
- Convert Registration Color – A new option is available to convert Registration Color to Rich Black.

- Overlay PDF/Print Items – The overlay source now includes an additional selection option, allowing access to the print items list.

- Create Dieline from Image Center – When creating a Dieline, the TrimBox can now be aligned with the Dieline.

- Create Spot Color Separation Based on Total Ink Coverage – Spot colors set to “Output as Separation” can now be excluded based on total ink coverage.
